About

Nouran Husain b.1997 in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is a practicing painter in Northwest Ohio. She received both her M.A in Art History and a B.F.A in Painting + Drawing from Ohio University. Nouran's work examines a moment within the process of searching and yearning for what is yet to come and what has already passed. The moment of stagnation and lack of clarity, with one part of the self fixated in what was and another in what could be. Neither part of the self is fully present, cemented in a cycle of presence and absence, a constant limbo.
